My family; Marcus' Aunt and Cousins, all here in Ohio, packed up, rented a van, and travelled across 4 states to reach Tulsa, OK. There we joined the vigil of waiting to see who was responsible for this despicable and ignorant death of a young, promising young man.
This stupidity; this need to always kill, Kill, KILL... JUST HAS TO STOP!! Some of the young boys of today are just a bunch of punks. Stupid Asses just want to Erase everything that they don't like; or can't do better than. WEAK ASS punk boys that don't know how to be men. If you got a problem, Put Up Your Dukes like a man. Take Yo Ass Whuppin'!
We left Thursday night, May 20th, and I drove that TC for 14 hours straight; just stopping for gas. My mind wasn't occupied by the road, but whether the police had caught the two boys that had killed such a promising young basketball player. By late afternoon, on May 17th, the Tulsa police had identified the suspects in the case... Jerlon Demont Morgan, 22 and William Stevfon Hurt, 19, the apparent shooter.
Wanting to Decapitate the very Sawed-Off PUNKS that have taken from this very world, such a precious Son; Grand Son, Nephew, Brother... This task was to be handled by GOD Himself! Later on in the day on Friday, the Tulsa District Attorney's office had arested and charged William Stevfon Hurt and Jerlon Morgan with First Degree Murder! Both, for taking Marcus Lewis, II from this earth, Each under a $5,000,000 Bond!
5 MILLION DOLLARS EACH!
A few days after we laid Marcus Lewis, Jr to rest, on May 22, 2010, Marcus became a father to a beautiful son.
Marcus became the father to the son that NOW WILL NEVER KNOW HIS FATHER...
WE HAVE GOT TO STOP ALL OF THIS VIOLENCE IN OUR YOUTH!!!

Why Did He Have To Leave Us So Soon...
Pictured here are photos from 5 years ago, 2005, of my nephew, Marcus, Jr, at about 17 years old, and my brother-in-law, Marcus, Sr. I haven't seen my nephew Marcus, II since then. Today, May 17th, 2010 at 1:23am... I was called and informed that I would not be able to see him anymore. Anymore alive, at least.
Marcus Darrell Lewis, Jr was gunned down crossing the street from Cheyenne Park in Northern Tulsa, OK, May 16, 2010. He was shot in the back and the back of the head while crossing the street. Marcus had had a fight some time earlier with The Boy that shot him. Marcus apparently whipped the boy during the fight. However... that wasn't yesterday.
The report is that as Marcus was walking across the street, the boy drove up and shot Marcus in the back and the back of the head. Then the boy got out of his car and walked up over Marcus and shot him 4 more times while he lay motionless in the street...

I figured that they should have caught the punks by now. My mind was just whirling with questions as to why these little boys just think that they need to kill for any little thing that bothers them. Why was it necessary that they had to Erase my Nephew, Marcus.
